An Old One but Worth It

It’s paint a bird day a.k.a. draw a bird day. Sooo I decided to post an old one of mine. We saw this stunning Macaw while in Antigua several years ago. Of course I had to do its portrait. Hope you have enjoyed your paint a bird day and are staying warm and dry. Cheers Susan Feniak

“Cardinal Wreath”

“Cardinal Wreath”. Artist Susan Feniak. Watercolor and ink on Arches paper. A Merry Christmas to me painting. A friend gave me the antique frame a year or two ago and it’s taken me this long to decide what I wanted to create to put in the frame. The end result has added to my Christmas decor nicely. A keeper!

Sunflower

The power was out for around six hours today. What does a girl do other then try to stay warm? She creates.

Misty Morning is only $250 an original one only acrylic on 20″ x 20″ canvas. I don’t make prints of my art. Cheers Susan Feniak To contact me sfeniakart@gmail.com

Noisy Nest Sold

Noisy Nest went to a new home earlier this month. I lent it to a friend several months ago to hang in her home for awhile. My friend sold it. This tells me that perhaps I should lend out more of my paintings to friends to hang in their homes. They just might sale them for me. Thank you to my friend and thank you to the new owner of Noisy Nest. I am assured the owner loves it. Bonus.

Draw a bird day August

August 8th and it’s draw a bird day. Why not give you two birds? The peacock is inspired from Charlie O’Shields Sketching Stuff Activity Book, Nature. I am enjoying that book. Thank you Charlie.

Day 31 World Watercolor Month Finale!

Day 31 World Watercolor Month the finale. The prompt Favorite Colors. It’s been a fun month and I have enjoyed painting and posting everyday. Sometimes I only had a few minutes and that probably was very apparent in what I shared. Today I give you a Kingfisher. My favourite colour is BLUE any tone will do! Cheers Susan.

Day 30 World Watercolor Month

Day 30 World Watercolor Month. The prompt Wild Things. Recently we got our cute quotient when mama mallard brought her seven wee fuzzy babes for a visit. How something that tiny can survive in the wild amazes. Especially when mama is trying to raise them in a very busy section of Shuswap Lake. The perils are numerous.
