Finished my first painting of 2021. “At Last” is our houseboat sitting pretty at Robert’s Bay on beautiful Shuswap Lake. I took the reference photo late last summer. It was an idyllic calm morning. Barely a ripple on the lakes surface. Perfect for reflections. I had fun re-creating those reflections. These days our girl is waiting for the sunny warm days to return and so are we. I am keeping this painting. It will hang in our land home to remind us of those sun and fun filled days of the past and to look forward to in the future. Artist Susan Feniak. My husband and I enjoyed our ten days off. We spent our vacation on our houseboat at Robert’s Bay Provincial Park Shuswap Lake British Columbia. I took many photos. These are only a few. Tide Abandoned. It was time to do a watercolor and ink. I have been making a lot of greeting cards but no watercolor painting of substance. Work in progress on my easel. It’s waiting for me to finish. After several beautiful sun filled days yesterday we had clouds with showers. It was an art attack kind of day. I prefer sandy beaches and sunshine to a snowy and cold Canadian winter. Ergo I am on hiatus in Mexico and away from blogging. Maybe by the time I return to my Canadian home it will be sunnier and warmer. Here’s hoping. In the meantime I am sharing some photos. Enjoy.

Hermit Bay. My latest painting. I need to come up with a name for this one yet. This was the view from our kitchen window on our houseboat last week while beached at Hermit Bay on Shuswap Lake.
