Spreading some brightness

SOLD It has been a couple weeks of dull winter weather in my neck of the woods. In the need of some brightness if not sunshine it was time to paint some colorful happy flowers. Hope they bring you smiles and some brightness too. Cheers Susan

A touch of spring

Yesterday was a snowy day where I live. I have been swamped with work related duties since the new year began. In need of some fun and brightness I painted these crocus’s. My brother gave me a lovely box of Hahnemuhle postcards for Christmas. The postcards and other art supplies that both my siblings gave me are going to be very much enjoyed.

Happy 2019

Have a happy healthy and creative 2019. Cheers Susan Feniak. PEACE.

Singing Merry Christmas to you!

Happy holidays to all my WP friends. Cheers Susan

Joy To The World

Artist Susan Feniak. Finally time to play. Does that mean my work is done and everything readied for Christmas? We will see.

December Birthdays

There are several December Birthdays at our house. Here is a sampling of the cards I made for those birthdays. Since I think of the person who is to receive my cards while I make them the creative process is very much enjoyed.

Mara Morning

Mara Morning. I think that will be the name I give my latest painting. This is the early morning view of Mara Lake from our houseboat. Morning coffee and afternoon happy hour are spent admiring this scene from our vantage point on the aft deck. Artist Susan Feniak. Acrylic on 18″ x 24″ canvas. Varnished and framed. Ready for a good home or hang in a gallery.

Mara Muse

Mara Muse. A painting of the view from our houseboat. We spend hours sitting and staring at this spectacle of nature’s beauty. Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Colors on 8″ x 10″ canvas.

Raven Trail Autumn

Raven Trail Autumn. Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Acrylics on 16″×20″ box canvas. Raven Trail is one of my favourite walks near where we live. Fall is not my favourite time of year mostly because winter comes next. I am Canadian. But that doesn’t mean I love winter. All that being said I do enjoy all the autumnal colours and kicking up the fallen leaves. I hope my painting evokes those pleasantries. Cheers Susan

Revised “Clean Up Crew”

After a critique I revised my painting “Clean Up Crew”. It was suggested that the waves were weak on the right so I improved them. I redefined the sky and added more birds for more interest. I think the lighting is improved on the sky, land and water near the land. Although she will most likely never see my efforts I would hope it holds her interest for longer the a few seconds. Enjoy your weekend friends. Cheers Susan
