Day 8 World Watercolor Month

Day 8 of World Watercolor Month and the prompt is Flying High. Up up and away in our beautiful balloon! Curious, how many of you remember the song of long ago?

Day 6 World Watercolor Month

Day 6 World Watercolor Month and the prompt of Window View had me thinking of all the different types of windows in the world with all the different views. Since I love boats and the water whether it be seaside or lake side the view from my window needs to include those elements.

Day 3 World Watercolor Month

Day 3 World Watercolor Month. The prompt was picnic food. Given my time constraints today it had to be quickly done. Watermelon!

Day 2 World Watercolor Month

The prompt for day two of WorldWatercolorMonth “Sunny Skies” made me think of sunflowers pointing themselves toward the sun. Don’t ask me why. It just did. To get your prompts and more information about WorldWatercolorMonth2019 click on or go to worldwatercolormonth. com

Day 1 World Watercolor Month

Day 1 The prompt was Primary Palette which led me to primary colours and what is bright and colourful made with primary colours. Marbles. I will try to do all 31 days of #Worldwatercolormonth2019 but you may all ready know I don’t have internet on our boat and sometimes work gets in the way of my art time. There maybe some real quick art being produced by me during the month long celebration. Check out WorldWatercolorMonth and get your prompts at doodlewash.com

An experiment

This one was an experiment. I took a cue from an older Watercolor Artist magazine. Playing with looser brush strokes and different colors. The article was about painting a cat and techniques for painting fur. I couldn’t leave well enough alone and added a mouse. I named my version “Cat and Mouse Game”. Artist Susan Feniak. Daniel Smith watercolor and ink on Fabriano paper.

Party In Pink

Sold. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Fabriano paper.

Lambing Time

Surely lambing time is a perfect sign of spring. This little darling is a quick sketch or doodlewash to celebrate yet another spring time event. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Opus Finest paper. Happy spring!

“Beckoning”

I can imagine grabbing onto that rope, swing out over the water, and jump! How exhilarating! I better wait until summer to have a go. You are never too old to have a little fun. Artist Susan Feniak. Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors on Fabriano cold press paper. 8″×10″.
