“Tide Abandoned”

Tide Abandoned

Tide Abandoned. It was time to do a watercolor and ink. I have been making a lot of greeting cards but no watercolor painting of substance. Hope you like my sun bleached wreck seemingly abandoned by the tide. This painting is available at Three Buoys Marina on Riverside Ave in Sicamous. Asking $125.

Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Fabriano 11″ x 14″ paper

Hermit Bay

Hermit Bay. My latest painting. I need to come up with a name for this one yet. This was the view from our kitchen window on our houseboat last week while beached at Hermit Bay on Shuswap Lake. How fortunate am I to have this view rain or shine while cooking our meals? This painting is acrylic on 12″ x 16″ box canvas. Cheers Susan

Raven Trail Birch is on display at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous. Based on a photo taken by me. I enjoy my walks on Raven Trail. The trail meanders along the foreshore of Salmon Arm Bay BC. I have painted several versions of the trees there. In particular the birch that I see while on my walks. Acrylic on box canvas 18″ x 24″. Painted on all sides no frame needed. $275.00 Thank you for stopping by and I do appreciate your comments. Cheers Susan Feniak

Day 9 World Watercolor Month

Day 9 World Watercolor Month and the prompt is Shadow Play. Tilda the pup looks a tad bewildered by her shadow. No doubt she will soon be pouncing on it and chasing it about. I am waiting to watch Tilda play with her shadow. Maybe her tail will be next?

Why me?

Why me? SOLD That’s what this dog is most likely thinking. Did you as a child ever play dress up with your pet? I remember putting clothes on our black lab, Pal and later a mutt we called Snoopy. Funny how at the time they seemed to play along. Artist Susan Feniak. QoR watercolor and ink on Fabriano paper. This one is matted and will be available at Gallery One Fifty in Sicamous when it opens.

Contemplation

Contemplation. If you don’t know me or my art you won’t know I rarely paint people. In fact I can’t remember the last time I tackled a selfie let lone another person. In my world that makes this painting special. The sunset adds to the contemplative moment I tried to capture here. Artist Susan Feniak. Koi watercolour on 8″×10″ Fabriano paper.
