At it again…..My latest work in progress. From what seemingly looks like a hot mess you can see poppies emerge on the canvas. Oh how the creative mind works! Coming up there will be more to see.

My sincerest wishes for a Happy Mothers Day! A special hug to my Mum. I made my Mum’s card bright and cheerful this year so that she could see it. And “Fidelma” flamingo helped Mr Stork recently. A very special Happy 1st Mothers Day to the new Mom.
Both of these cards are watercolor and ink on Strathmore watercolor cards 4″ x 6″. They are hand painted, original and one of a kind, by me Susan Feniak

For lack of a better title I am calling this painting “Looking Up”. I go for a walk everyday and often find myself looking up. This scene is inspired by the nature trails in and around Sicamous British Columbia. Our summer home turf. I highly recommend the trails. Whatever you are doing today take the time to go for a walk and remember to stop and look up. It’s truly fascinating.
The first 3 photos are of my process and the last photo is the final painting. The end result for Looking Up!

“Flat Bottom Gals” is my latest acrylic painting on a 20″ x 20″ gallery canvas. A string of boats waiting for hire. Colorful, bright and cheerful. Hard to resist. I couldn’t resist the name I gave to this painting either. It’s fun too. We can all use a bit of happy these days. Right?
This painting started as a completely different idea and morphed into this. I am glad this is how it goes. One never knows where the idea or paint brushes will go…nor where ones imagination will take them.
If you are interested in this painting please message me at sfeniakart@gmail.com I am asking $250 cdn plus shipping . It’s original and I do not make copies or prints of my art.

“Best Buddies”. My latest acrylic on canvas painting. I hadn’t painted a larger doggie painting until now. My usual animal creations are normally done with watercolors. Milo and Molly are from my imagination. Yes, I gave them names, but I will let you decide who is who. I hope you like them.
Artist Susan Feniak. Acrylics on an 18″ x 24″ gallery canvas. Asking $250. Remember if you purchase a painting of mine you are buying original art. I do not make prints. If you are interested please email sfeniakart@gmail.com

Small by my standard. These are the progress photos and the final painting. I decided to leave the background white. Maybe it’s the start of a new trend? The title is “Yellow Maze”. If you were interested in purchasing this painting you are too late as it SOLD almost immediately. Thank you to the purchaser. Selling art has been a tuff slog this summer as venues have been few and far between. I am fortunate to have sold anything. As always I am grateful to have someone like my art enough to hang in their home and personal space. Cheers Susan

I took a bit of a break after World Watercolor Month and a very busy July. Of a sudden yesterday I had the urge to put palette knife, brush and paint to canvas. Oh joy! Artist Susan Feniak. Golden Artist Acrylics and heavy gel gloss on a 20″ x 20″ canvas. There is a lot of texture in this one. And it was a lot of fun, I even used a credit card to spread and smear the paint. A true escape from the trial and tribulations this past few weeks have thrown at us. Let me know what you think. Cheers Susan
I tweaked “Sail Away”. Now I can say that I am happy with it. It’s ready for a frame, so that will be next. Cheers Susan
